After nearly 6 years without maintenance, my main sewer line was nearly
blocked.  In my haste to find a plumber I called one of the heavily
advertised much larger plumbing companies.  The other plumbing company took
$450 to video cam my sewer line, without bothering to snake the line first. 
They showed me a black video image of the blockage to confirm what I already
knew, there is in fact a blockage!  However, the video image did not
indicate what was the cause of the blockage.

The larger plumbing company then suggested my sewer line may have collapsed,
and I should authorize them to dig 6 feet down, under my driveway, to repair
a section of the line!  I never asked how much that would cost, I decided to
wait for a reference to an honest plumbing company.  The reference I
received was for Protocol Plumbing.

I am so pleased I found Protocol, and they were able to quickly and easily
open my blocked sewer line.  The per hour rate was very reasonable, as their
repair was less than half the cost of what I flushed away on the larger
plumbing company.

Protocol sent me a two man team, Erich and Tim.  They both went out of their
way to completely and honestly explain the condition of my main sewer line. 
My sewer line was blocked, not by a pipe collapse, but by roots.

I am so glad I did not spend many thousands for unnecessary repairs. 
Protocol is one very honest and extremely reasonable shop.  Call them
whenever you need plumbing help.
